Key questions

Clear answers about the relationship, operations in Europe, privacy, and timelines.

What does “operated in Europe” mean exactly?
It means the servers are physically located in the European Union, and service operations (management, support, processes, governance, and operational responsibility) are also carried out from Europe, under European regulatory frameworks. It also implies prioritizing a security, privacy, and compliance approach aligned with the European context. This operational model is intended to provide long-term predictability for customers who require clear jurisdiction, accountability, and regulatory alignment.
Where is data hosted, and how do you handle privacy?
Energy Orb’s position is to operate with data hosted in the European Union and a GDPR-first approach: minimization, control, transparency, and a clear legal basis. In practice, details (such as sub-processors, locations, retention, and user rights) will be documented in the legal and privacy pages as official information is published. This ensures that customers can clearly understand how their data is handled and under which legal and organizational safeguards it is protected.
When will the new platform be available?
It is still under development. We will publish the timeline once it is confirmed and stable. In the meantime, the goal is to ensure service continuity and provide clear updates on progress. Availability will be communicated only when the platform meets our internally defined high quality, security, and reliability expectations.
Will Energy Orb be only for solar PV?
The short answer is no. Energy Orb starts with a strong focus on solar PV (monitoring, planning/design), but it is designed to bring together multiple renewable technologies within the same "orb" over time, such as storage, wind, and other energy assets, as well as EV charging systems. This approach allows the platform to evolve alongside the energy transition that is taking place in Europe without fragmenting tools or data, keeping everything within the same sphere.
Where can I follow official updates?
For now, updates will be published on the corporate website. For more detailed information about the service and its use cases, you can also contact us by email: info@energyorb.com. As the platform progresses, additional communication channels may be introduced to support customers and partners more directly.
